1. How much does a driving course cost at Golden Hands?
We have three courses: Basic — ₹3,499 (17 practical + 3 theory classes, 30 min practical each), Extended — ₹3,999 (10 practical + 5 theory, 1 hour practical each), and Refresher — ₹1,749 (7 practical classes of 30 min, for already-licensed drivers). Free home pickup & drop is included in every course. RTO government fees are extra and paid by you directly to the RTO. Full breakdown on our Driving Courses page or book a class directly.
2. How many days will it take me to learn driving?
Most students finish the Basic course in 3–4 weeks with one class per day, or 2 weeks with two classes per day. The Extended course (1-hour sessions) typically takes 2–3 weeks. The Refresher takes about a week. Your pace can be faster or slower — we work to your schedule.
3. Where do you pick up from? Do you cover my area?
We provide free home pickup & drop across all of Bhubaneswar. Popular areas include Patia, Saheed Nagar, Jaydev Vihar, Khandagiri, Chandrasekharpur, Mancheswar, Aiginia, Nayapalli, free pickup zones and every locality in between. If your area isn’t listed, just call us — we almost certainly cover you.
4. What is the minimum age for a driving licence?
The legal minimum age for a learner’s licence for an LMV (car) in India is 18 years. You’ll need a valid Aadhaar or birth certificate as age proof. 5. Will I really pass the RTO test on the first try?
Our students enjoy a 93% first-attempt pass rate. We practise on the exact RTO test routes, and we cover everything the examiner checks — clutch control, parking, U-turn, gradient start, road signs, and the theory test. 6. Do you have a ladies-only batch?
Yes. We run dedicated ladies batches with morning and evening slots. Many of our female students prefer this for comfort and confidence. Just mention “ladies batch” when you call to book.
7. What language will the lessons be in?
You choose. Our instructors teach in Odia, Hindi, or English — whichever you’re most comfortable with. Tell us your preference at booking.
8. Is the car safe? What if I make a mistake?
Our cars are dual-control, meaning your instructor has a second set of brakes and clutch on the passenger side. If anything goes wrong, the instructor takes over instantly. You are completely safe to make mistakes — that’s how you learn. Practise parking and city traffic at your own pace.
9. What documents do I need to bring on day one?
For training, just bring an ID proof (Aadhaar is easiest) and your learner’s licence if you already have one. If not, see our step-by-step Odisha licence guide — we’ll help you apply via the Parivahan / Sarathi Odisha portal before classes start.
10. Can I bring my own car for refresher lessons?
Yes — refresher students who already have a licence may use their own car if they prefer. Tell us at the time of booking and we’ll plan the lessons around your vehicle. Otherwise we use our standard dual-control training car.
11. What does each class actually cover?
Each practical class is real on-road driving with an instructor next to you — clutch and gear, steering, parking, signals, hill start, traffic handling, and finally the RTO test routes. Theory classes cover road signs, RTO rules, the learner test syllabus, vehicle basics, and emergency response. Choose manual or automatic.
12. How do I book? And can I get my money back if I change my mind?
