Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want every student to feel confident about booking with us. This policy explains exactly when and how you can reschedule, cancel, or request a refund for any course you book with Golden Hands Driving School.

This policy works alongside our Terms & Conditions. Common questions are also answered on our FAQ page.

1. Rescheduling individual classes

• Reschedule for free with at least 4 hours’ notice before the class start time. Just call or WhatsApp +91 9040040265.
• Up to 2 free reschedules are permitted per course.
• Beyond 2 reschedules, we may charge a small pickup-fuel fee (capped at ₹100 per reschedule).
• A class missed without notice (no-show) is counted as completed and is not refundable or rescheduled.
• We may reschedule a class on our side due to instructor unavailability, vehicle service, weather, public holidays, or other reasonable causes. In such cases the class is rescheduled at no charge to you, at a mutually agreed time.

2. Cancelling your course before the first class

If you cancel before any class has been delivered:

• Within 7 days of registration → full refund (100% of fees paid).
• After 7 days but before the first class → 90% refund (we retain 10% as administrative cost).

Refunds are processed within 7–10 working days to the same payment method you used.

3. Cancelling your course after classes have started

If you have already taken at least one class and want to discontinue, you can request a pro-rated refund:

• Refund = (Total fee paid) − (Number of classes taken × per-class rate) − ₹300 administration fee.
• You must submit your refund request in writing (email or WhatsApp) within 30 days of your last class.

We do not refund the Refresher Course (7 classes / ₹1,749) once any class has been delivered, due to the short course length.

4. Refunds we do not offer

We are unable to refund:

• Classes you missed without notice (no-show).
• Course completion if you have already taken all sessions in your course.
• Government RTO fees you paid directly to the RTO via the Parivahan portal (these are not collected by us).
• Cases where a course was cancelled by us due to your serious misconduct, breach of our Terms, or non-truthful information at registration.

5. If we cancel your course

If, for any reason on our side, we are unable to deliver your course (instructor unavailability, vehicle issue beyond reasonable repair, business closure, etc.), you are entitled to a full refund of any fees paid for classes not yet delivered, with no administrative deduction.

6. The “not ready” promise

If you finish your full course but do not feel ready to take your RTO test, please tell us. We will give you additional practice classes at no extra charge, at our reasonable discretion. This is not a refund — it is extra practice to make sure you actually pass.

7. How to request a refund

Include your full name, the phone number used at booking, the date of registration, the date of your last class (if any), and the reason for the request. We will acknowledge within 2 working days and process eligible refunds within 7–10 working days.

8. Disputes

If you are unhappy with how a refund request was handled, please write to Amit Anupam Swain (Proprietor) at the email above. We will personally review and respond within 7 working days. If a dispute remains, jurisdiction is at the courts of Bhubaneswar, Odisha (see Terms & Conditions, section 12).

9. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date in the hero reflects the most recent version. The policy in force at the time of your booking applies to your course.
